Contraptix privacy policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Contraptix is a physics puzzle game developed by Deskvelopers ("we"). This policy explains what data the game collects, what it is used for and how you can delete it.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Anonymous account ID (Firebase Authentication) | To save your game in the cloud without asking you to sign up. |
| If you link Google: your Google account's name, email and photo. If you link Apple: the name and email Apple shares (it may be a private Apple relay address) | To restore your game on another phone. We don't publish them: the leaderboards only show your first name if you haven't picked a nickname. |
| Game data: levels cleared, stars, coins, hints, play statistics (attempts, wins, time played) | To save your progress and show you your statistics. |
| Profile: nickname, country and avatar | To show you on the world, country and daily challenge leaderboards. |
| Daily challenge results (pieces and time) | The leaderboard of each challenge. |
Your country comes from your phone's settings and you can change or remove it. We don't collect your location, contacts or photos. Ads use the data explained under "Purchases and ads".
Improvements and errors
To improve the game, Google Firebase Analytics collects usage data without identifying you by name: which levels you open, how many attempts you make, how long you take, which help you use and where you give up. It isn't used for advertising and doesn't use the advertising ID. If the game closes because of an error, Firebase Crashlytics sends a technical report (phone model, system and game version, and where it failed).
What other players see
Leaderboards show your nickname (or "Player" and a few letters), your flag, your avatar and your points. Nothing else. Nicknames with insults or obscenities are rejected.
Where it is stored
On your phone and in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a service by Google LLC that processes the data on our behalf; see its privacy information. Data is encrypted in transit.
Purchases and ads
Ads. The game shows Google AdMob ads between levels and optional rewarded ads (coins or hints). To serve and measure them, Google collects your device's advertising ID, IP address, device data and how you interact with ads. See how Google uses advertising data.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other places where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change it at any time in Profile → Ad privacy options.
- On iPhone and iPad, Apple asks whether you allow tracking. If you say no, you'll see non-personalized ads; the game works the same.
- Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
- If you buy "Remove ads", you won't see ads between levels anymore; rewarded ads stay optional.
Purchases. Purchases (coins and remove ads) are made through Google Play or Apple's App Store. We don't receive your payment details: we only know which product was bought, to deliver it.
Who it is shared with
We don't sell your data. It is only processed by the services the game needs to work: Google Firebase (account, game, leaderboards, metrics and error reports), Google AdMob (ads, as explained above) and Google Play or the App Store (purchases).
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, it is deleted immediately.
How to delete your data
In the game: Profile → Delete account. Your game, your leaderboard entries and your account are deleted at once, in the cloud and on your phone. You can also ask by email; see Delete your account.
Children
Contraptix is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can access, correct (nickname and country are changed in your profile) or delete your data. For any question, write to us.

Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the game.
